DTHE ARTIST
Having been raised on a ranch in the Chilcotin Country of British Columbia, I became interested in early childhood on the anatomy of animals and even how light and shadow moved across them and the landscape around me. I found myself totally fascinated with these things and would study them for hours on end. But it wasn't until I found an illustration in a novel at the age of 8 that I realized I could put the things I loved to study on paper. That was when I drew my first horse and I continue to draw and paint to this day. As an artist, I live a life of pure frustration and pure satisfaction and I wouldn't have it any other way.
